Fielding is a team effort and games can be won and lost in the field. Often it is the team who holds its catches or gets that crucial run out that changes the game and leads to victory.

A team focus, correct technique and hardwork is important when fielding as it is a way for the individual to contribute to the group. We are able to educate and improve a team’s fielding through skill specific fielding drills, activites and match scenarios.

By approaching fielding as fun, the individual can contribute to the energy of the fielding unit and contribute to the teams success.

We are able to provide fielding coaching sessions on an individual, group or team basis.

Fielding

This would include:
         - catching technique (infield, outfield)
         - catching in the slips
         - throwing technique and injury prevention
         - defensive fielding
         - attacking fielding
         - infielding (inside the circle)
         - outfielding (on the boundary)
         - run outs
         - position specific practices
         - anticipation
         - preparation
         - team energy and vibe
         - teamwork

Wicket Keeping

The wicket keeper is the on-field leader of the fielding unit. A good keeper leads from the front and ensures that a high standard in the field is kept. Often they provide the best information to the captain about the bowlers and the opposition batsmen.

By improving the skills, attitudes and work ethic of a keeper, the team will be a force to be reckoned with in the field.

This includes:
        - catching techniqe
        - footwork and balance (agility)
        - diving
        - taking throws from the otfield
        - fast bowling (stance, catching height)
        - spin bowling (stance, footwork, stumpings, bowler’s variations)
        - placing the field (angles)
        - identifying batsmens’ weaknesses
        - reading the game
        - leadership on the field
        - team energy
